The island nation of has almost 1,200 islets and in two rows of atolls in the Indian Ocean, located just across the equator. This fascinating country is made up of 1,190 coral islands, which have formed around 26 natural atolls that are shaped like rings.
The reefs of the islands, are home to a variety underwater creatures and colorful corals that serve as protection from wind and waves.
